sensorFact takes great pride in our technology solutions. Our tools and partners are carefully selected to provide a highly reliable, secure, and flexible platform. Our products work together or independently, and can be customized to fit the needs of your facility application.

Our Technologies

Data Manager

The sensorFact Manager is a web-based portal for hosting, editing, tagging and sharing facility sensor data.  Here's how it works:

Point data is received by sensorFact through a predefined gateway, or pointCollex agent (as described below). Once accessible in the sensorFact Manager, we can create friendly names for each point, assign tags and organize into equipment. Additionally, the sensorFact Manager provides the ability to set up and configure "Data Feeds" for sharing and integrating into your API.

Our data acquisition services consist of 2 technologies -  the pointCollex API and Agent.

The pointCollex API receives, transforms, and stores all incoming sensor data from a facility. sensorFact customers have the option to: 1) create their own data collection service to send to our pointCollex API, or 2) we can provide them with our pointCollex Agent which is used to collect the data.

The pointCollex Agent is a secure, lightweight service that behaves similar to a data diode. The service lives within your facility network or within an encyrpted point-to-point VPN network secured by TOSIBOX® technology. pointCollex collects all available data, and sends it to the pointCollex API as frequently as once per minute. The Agent is designed to send the data outbound only, and does not permit any incoming ports in order to ensure security. pointCollex Agents are available in a variety of protocols depending upon your sensor network.

Our Data Feed API makes integration simple. sensorFact allows you to organize sensor data into groups based on location, type or points of interest. These groups of Data Feeds and can be accessed directly from our API as a direct URL.

Data Feeds can take on a variety of forms. For machine readable data, feeds can be served as JSON current values and trends. As an example of this, we created "Point Cards" which deliver live data in a responsive web-format for computers or mobile devices. Point Cards allow you to temporarily send and share necessary data with any vendor, so they can verify sensor readings on their mobile devices without needing any additional or special access to your secured network or systems. Point Cards also allow you to set a date for when their shared information will expire, such that access to specific data is automatically revoked on an allotted project or time basis.

We’ve all heard of hashtag (#) which is the way many social media platforms allow users to assign some contextual search term to a posted asset. #Awesome! This simple (sometimes annoying) attribute has caused a revolution in the field of database technology and the way we organize data. Without getting into the details of that here, we can explain it is used with sensorFact. As you organize sensors within sensorFact, you can assign both industry specific tags as well as ad-hoc tags to elements like: sites, equipment, points, and values. The industry specific tagging makes integrating with third-party systems easier. The ad-hoc tags make searching, filtering, and finding things in sensorFact faster and easier.

Today, we fully support Project Haystack (http://project-haystack.org/) and have a published Haystack API for sensorFact. This is empowered by your tags and opens a new world of systems and applications that also use Haystack for integration.

SkySpark
SkySpark allows domain experts to capture their knowledge in “rules” that automatically run against collected data. Employing “semantic tagging”, pattern recognition, functional rules processing and other techniques, SkySpark’s analytics engine provides the ability to automatically identify issues worthy of attention. The result: the capability to tell the user what they need to know about the performance of their systems.

Tosibox
As a building service provider, you want to benefit from an operational network that is cyber secure that also provides state-of-the-art, real-time services. The TOSIBOX OT network can connect all of your building systems into the same platform of your choice, allowing you to streamline your operations so you can focus on developing and managing your daily service operations in a secure, cost-effective manner.
